Japan: Urasoe 浦添

Sister Breksa is serving in the city of Urasoe.

"Urasoe" is made up of the characters

浦 (ura), meaning "coastal area," 

and 添い (soi), meaning "ruling or uniting."

Urasoe was the original capital of an Okinawan kingdom from 1187 to 1405. 

Urasoe was completely razed during the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. Almost half of the population perished.
