Package!

Thanks for the package of goodies and things I needed!

I plan to make the cake mix with our new investigator. She is 15. She and her family came to the open house we had, invited by a member, and to church yesterday! Sister C. and I went to YW with her.

The Three Most Famous Views in Japan

Matsushima is a group of islands in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. There are some 260 tiny islands (shima) covered in pines (mats).

Miyajima Island, one of the most scenic spots in Japan, has long been regarded as an Island of Gods on the beautiful Seto Inland Sea. It is a romantic and historical island where Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage site, is located, along with the Virgin Forest of Mt. Misen, and numerous preserved shrines, temples and historical monuments.

Amanohashidate ("bridge in heaven") is a pine covered sandbar that spans the mouth of Miyazu Bay in the scenic,. Viewed from the mountains at either end of the bay, the looks like a pathway between heaven and earth.

Useful Quote: Heavenly Help

"We are not and never need be alone.
We can press forward in our daily lives
with heavenly help."

Letter Home: Dated 24 June 2014/06/29

There are two workers at the store I bought a dress from – they were there today and remembered me.  So, I invited them to the open house we are going to have. I hope they come!

The branch is getting very excited for the open house. We had our second meeting after church last week. This weekend we had district conference.

On Fast Sunday the elders taught about fasting. Later a lady in the class who was not a member of the church (and who was later baptized) told the elders that after that lesson she started fasting! When the time came for her to end her fast, she no longer had the desire to drink coffee – which she drank every day. She thought, “I do not need coffee in my life.” They later taught her the Word ofWisdom.

The Church is true!
